Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of the SeaWolf iOS app and this website. By using them, you agree to what follows.
Safety — read this one
SeaWolf is a planning aid, not a navigation system and not a safety device.
The charts, forecasts, tide predictions, sea-state estimates, and condition scores in the app come from third-party data and from our own modelling. They can be wrong, stale, or unavailable, and they are not a substitute for official sources.
- Do not navigate by SeaWolf. The nautical charts shown are for reference only. They are not corrected for Notices to Mariners and must not be used for navigation. Carry official paper or certified electronic charts.
- Check the official forecast before you go out. For US waters that means the National Weather Service and the Coast Guard, not this app.
- Small-craft and safety advisories in the app are informational. Their absence does not mean conditions are safe.
- You are responsible for your own decisions on the water — your vessel, your crew, and whether to go at all.
Fishing regulations
Seasons, size limits, bag limits, and licensing are your responsibility. SeaWolf does not provide regulatory advice, and AI suggestions about species or locations do not mean fishing there is legal or open. Check your state or national authority.
AI-generated content
SeaWolf uses AI to generate fishing recommendations and advisor responses. That output is a suggestion based on patterns in conditions data and general fishing knowledge. It can be inaccurate or unsuitable for your situation. Treat it as one opinion, not as fact, and apply your own judgement.
Your account
Signing in uses Sign in with Apple. Keep your Apple ID secure — anyone with access to it can reach your SeaWolf account. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account.
Your content
Your catches, photos, and notes are yours. They are stored on your device (see the Privacy Policy), and we claim no ownership of them. Because they are local, keeping a backup is your responsibility — Settings → Data → Export All My Data produces one.
Subscriptions
SeaWolf Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- It renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel in the App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms, not by us.
Pro features may change as the app develops. We won't remove a substantial feature from an active subscription period without notice.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our API credentials
- Automate, scrape, or resell access to the AI features
- Use the service unlawfully or to harm others
We apply rate limits to keep the service available and affordable, and we may suspend accounts that abuse it.
Availability
SeaWolf depends on third-party services — Apple, Anthropic, weather and tide providers, chart sources. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and any of these can fail or change independently of us.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of SeaWolf — including decisions made on the water in reliance on its information. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date above and noted in release notes. Continuing to use SeaWolf after a change means you accept it.
